Bio Who is this guy?
Hi. I’m Stan Michael. I’ve been a teacher in parochial schools for nearly 30 years. I’m an adventurous soul, so I’ve enjoyed teaching on the East Coast, then in Texas, Colorado, and now in Missouri. Since my career has kept me active in my different local churches, I’ve always felt a draw to ministry outside of the “obvious” answer of working with kids.
My passions include exploring men’s roles as husbands, fathers, and leaders in their own circles, whether those circles be in their careers, their churches, their businesses, or most importantly in their families.
I found that I was struggling with all of the above as I approached midlife and found myself somewhere between “losing hope” and “discontented resignation.” As I started exploring the why behind this, I knew I couldn’t be the only one.
I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart, Kelly, since 1987. We have no children, but do enjoy “raising” our rescued English bulldogs. Since the Mrs. works with animals professionally and voluntarily, we’ve been saving the world one bulldog at a time. We also volunteer with various English bulldog rescue organizations around the Midwest.
My other passions include traveling and outdoor activities like camping, hiking, and running.
